You’ve probably at least once experienced that your dog will eat a bunch of grass when you’re out walking, and in that case, you’ve probably also had a passerby comment that it’s probably because your dog has a stomachache. The next time that happens you can tell that it simply isn’t true.
A study done in 2008 showed that out of more than 1.550 different dogs, at least 68% of them actually really liked eating grass. Grass has absolutely no nutritional value, and dogs’ aren’t able to digest it, so what makes a dog eat grass? Some vets believe that the answer is very simple, they just thoroughly enjoy the taste.
