Trying to find out which Labradoodle toys to buy when getting a new dog, can be quite overwhelming. These days there are millions of possibilities, and only more and more each day.
Over the years I have tried at least a hundred different toys. Some good, some bad.
So I decided to make a list of those my dogs and I have had the most fun out of. Meaning this is a list of items I have all tried myself, and can personally recommend.
The best toys are something that can give your dog both something to have some fun with, but also challenge their skills.
The Best Labradoodle Toys
The list will contain everything from chew toys, different balls, and toys to challenge the dog’s brain mentally and not just their brawn.
Benebone Real Flavor Wishbone
- DURABLE, LONG-LASTING: Super chewer? Bring it on. Benebones are tougher than real bones and last for weeks..
- EASY TO PICK UP AND CHEW: The Wishbone is curved for a paw-friendly grip so your pup can quickly grab it and get a good chew going. Think about it: dogs don’t have thumbs..
- MADE TOUGH IN AMERICA – You need it tough, right? We get it. It's made and sourced in the USA..
- HAPPINESS, GUARANTEED: Have an issue? Want to chat? Reach out to us directly and you’ll get a real person whose sole job is to make you and your pup happy..
Starting my list of great Labradoodle toys is a Benebone Wishbone.
These are great chew toys for smaller dogs but they are also perfect for the puppy teething phase.
It’s made of nylon and flavored with either bacon, chicken, or peanut butter.
How they managed to do that is beyond me, but I had to taste it before giving it to my dog, and it’s actually true!
I recommend that you get the large version as that is suitable for dogs up to 70 pounds.
The smaller version is for dogs under 30 pounds. So that would be great for the first months of your Labradoodles life.
Pros:
- It’s made with flavors from actual bacon, chicken or peanut butter
- Excellent for the teething phase
- Non-toxic
- Durable
Cons:
- This is a chew toy but
not an edible one, so watch out that your dog doesn’t chew it into pieces - Mostly for younger and smaller dogs

Calling this product “just” a toy is an understatement, as it’s also an excellent way to give your dog some great mental training.
And when buying labradoodle toys this is a good idea, as they are known to be quite intelligent, so exercising the mind is equally as important as the body.
There is enough room in this that you can fill in your dogs’ entire dinner, so it will have to work for every single bite.
Using this toy regularly could help to challenge your dogs’ brain, and could, in turn, prevent any destructive behavior caused by boredom.
So if you’re looking for a fun challenging labradoodle toy, the Dog Brick Treat Puzzle should definitely be on your list.
Pros:
- Great toy for challenging the intelligence of your dog
- If the dog is interested in the puzzle, there can be hours of entertainment for it
- The dog will have to work for its’ food and not just get it served
Cons:
- Depending on your dog, they might get bored with the puzzle part of this toy, especially if they figure it out too soon

These were the best Labradoodle toys I’ve ever owned, but now let’s have a look at something you shouldn’t buy.
Don’t Buy These Labradoodle Toys!
Something I would avoid purchasing under any circumstance, even though a lot of people have purchased them and had lots of enjoyment out of, is Rope Toys.
Usually, when your dog pulls and chews on a toy, it will eventually start to break down into smaller pieces.
And usually, this isn’t an issue, as these small parts like plastic or rubber, will pass through the dog’s digestive system sooner or later.
The problem when this happens with a rope toy is that they will usually be ripped into longer strands that can be very harmful to your dog.
Vets refer to these as “linear foreign bodies” and are considered to be pretty much the worst thing your dog can swallow.
If your dog ends up eating such a strand, they could end up having to risk undergoing surgery.
And usually, you as an owner haven’t got a chance to see that there is a problem with your dog before it’s too late.
I have previously owned lots of different rope toys and haven’t had any issues, but we did have a scare once which we didn’t notice until our dog vomited quite a long strand of rope onto the floor.
After that, I’ve never purchased a rope toy again.
Yes, the risk is probably minimal, but I don’t feel like taking a chance when there are so many other great toys for a dog!
So that was a list of my
