In the same study done by Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, researches were able to conclude that pet-owners also experiences many psychological advantages. In this study, 217 people had to answer sevearl questions regarding their mental health, type of personality and their connection with other people.
This revealed that pet-owners were, in every single occasion, were happier, healthier, and a lot more well-adapted when compared to those people who didn’t own any pets. According to the researchers, this is probably due to the fact that pets are able to function as personal support to their owners.
